Seniors at Oakland Unity High School take a course called "College Prep" where they not only receive support and guidance on the nuts and bolts of transitioning from high school to college, but they also spend the majority of their spring semester creating an online digital portfolio.
The purpose of the "Digital Portfolio Project" is for graduating seniors to enter the post-secondary and professional world with a comprehensive record of their academic and extra-curricular projects, as well as a window into their personalities.
Extending far beyond the traditional high school graduate resume, each student's Digital Portfolio web site showcases a "Senior Project" which was an inter-disciplinary project between English, Economics and College Prep. The Senior Project web pages exhibit a multifaceted investigation into a career or careers.
